Static Guarding
Static Guarding in Carlisle & Cumbria
A guard on site, where you need one, for as long as you need one.
Static guarding is the simplest idea in security and still the most effective: put a trained, licensed officer on the site, and most problems never start. An empty construction compound with a guard on the gate is a far less attractive target than the one next door without.
We provide SIA-licensed static security officers across Carlisle and Cumbria, on shifts that fit the site rather than a template — overnight cover for a construction compound, a weekend on a vacant building, a permanent presence on a commercial reception, or cover for a specific period of risk such as a site handover or an eviction.
What a static guard actually does on your site
An officer is not just a body on a gate. Ours record what happens, challenge what shouldn't be there, and give you something to hand to an insurer or a loss adjuster if the worst does happen.
Access control. Who is coming in, who is going out, who has no business being there. Contractors signed in, deliveries checked against what you were expecting, and anyone without a reason to be on site turned away at the boundary.
Deterrence. Plant, fuel, cable and tooling walk off sites that look unwatched. A marked, uniformed presence changes that calculation before anyone climbs the fence.
Patrol and check. Scheduled walks of the perimeter and the interior, so that a forced lock or a cut fence is found in the first hour rather than at seven the next morning.
Incident response. Something happens; someone is already there. That is the whole point — and if it escalates beyond one officer, the phone is answered and support comes.
Sites we cover
Construction compounds and part-built developments. Industrial units, yards and depots. Vacant commercial property, which is the single most-targeted category there is. Offices and receptions needing a professional front-of-house presence. Car parks and plant storage.
If you are not sure whether your site needs a permanent officer or would be better served by mobile patrols, call and say what you are protecting. We will tell you honestly which one fits — and it is often the cheaper of the two.

Static Guarding — common questions
-
Call 07368 383364 and tell us what you need. Planned cover is straightforward to arrange. For genuinely urgent situations, our phone is answered 24 hours a day and we will tell you honestly, on that call, what we can get to you and when — rather than promising something we cannot deliver.
-
Yes. Every officer working a static guarding contract holds a valid SIA licence, which is a legal requirement for this work in the UK. You are welcome to ask to see it — a licence is worn on display, and a company that hesitates to show you is not one to hire.
-
It depends on the site and the shift pattern. We would rather have a short conversation about what you are actually protecting and quote you properly than publish a headline rate that turns out not to apply to you.

Yes. We work across Cumbria — Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven, Kendal, Wigton, Brampton and the towns between them. See our areas we cover page for the full list.
