Border Security Ltd (we, us) is a security company based in Carlisle, Cumbria. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide through this website.

What we collect, and when

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. If you fill in the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your phone number
• The service you are enquiring about, if you tell us
• Whatever you write in the message box
• Your IP address and browser user-agent, recorded automatically to help us block spam

We do not use tracking cookies, and we do not run advertising or profiling scripts on this site. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, and to provide you with a quote. That is the whole purpose. The lawful basis is legitimate interests — you contacted a security company asking about security, and replying to you is the obvious and expected result.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list because you asked us for a quote.

Where it goes and how long we keep it

Your enquiry is stored in this website's database and emailed to us so that we can act on it. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and to keep a reasonable business record — and no longer than necessary.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you
• Have it corrected if it is wrong

• Object to us processing it
