Who we are

Border Security Ltd provides SIA-licensed security across Carlisle and Cumbria — static guarding, retail security, door supervision, event security and mobile patrols. The name comes from where we are: right on the border, with the Pennines on one side and the fells on the other. The mountains in our logo are not decoration.

We are not a national contractor with a regional office and a call-handling script. We are local, and small enough that the person who quotes your job is the person who is accountable for it. For a lot of clients — a landlord, a shop owner, a site manager — that is the entire reason they moved to us.

What we will and will not tell you

Plenty of security companies publish a page of round numbers: years in business, clients served, incidents prevented. We would rather tell you the things that are actually true and actually useful.

Every officer is SIA licensed. That is a legal requirement for this work, not an accolade — but you would be surprised how loosely it gets treated. Ask to see a licence, from us or from anyone else. It should be worn on display, and a company that gets awkward about showing you is telling you something.

The office runs nine to five, Monday to Friday. We are not going to pretend otherwise. But the phone is a different thing entirely.

The phone is the point

Our number is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If a client needs someone removed at eleven on a Saturday night, they ring, and we go down and deal with it.

That is not a marketing promise wrapped around a voicemail box. It is the description of a service that exists because the alternative — a landlord alone in a pub with someone who will not leave, and nobody picking up — is genuinely how people get hurt.
