Event Security in Carlisle & Cumbria
Crowds managed, entrances controlled, and a plan for the thing that goes wrong.
Every event is fine until it isn't. The value of a security team is entirely in what they have already thought about before the gates open — where the crowd will bunch, which exit nobody can find, and who is going to make the call if the weather turns.
We provide SIA-licensed event security and stewarding across Carlisle and Cumbria, scaled to the event: one officer on the door of a private function, or a full team across a site with multiple entrances and a few thousand people through them.
What we cover on the day
Entrances and accreditation. Ticket checks, wristbanding, guest lists, bag searches where the event requires them, and a clear, calm answer for the person who has turned up with the wrong thing.
Crowd management. Watching flow and density rather than individuals — the pinch point at the bar, the surge at the end of a set, the queue that has quietly doubled back on itself.
Alcohol and age. Challenge 25 on the bar, and the confidence to refuse.
Perimeter and asset protection. Overnight cover for a site that is built but not yet open, so that the staging, the bar stock and the equipment are all still there in the morning.
Incidents. Medical, ejection, lost child, evacuation. Somebody who knows the plan, and knows who to call.
Events we work
Festivals and outdoor events, of which Cumbria has more than its share once the season starts. Weddings and private functions — including in Gretna, minutes from us. Corporate events, conferences and product launches. Sporting fixtures and community fundraisers. Markets, fairs and town-centre gatherings.
Tell us the event, the expected numbers and the site, and we will tell you what cover it genuinely needs. If the honest answer is "fewer officers than you were thinking", that is what you will hear.

Events — common questions
-
It depends on expected attendance, whether alcohol is served, the site layout and the number of entrances — and often on what your licence or your venue insists on. Tell us those things and we will give you a straight recommendation.
-
Yes, regularly — including in Gretna and across the Carlisle area. A discreet, well-presented officer on the door of a wedding is there so that the couple never has to think about it.
-
Yes. Outdoor events need entrance control, crowd management and overnight cover of a site that is full of equipment before a single guest arrives. Get in touch early — the good planning happens weeks out, not on the day.
-
As early as you can, particularly for summer weekends, which go first. That said, if you have had a team let you down close to the date, ring us — we would rather try to help than watch an event go ahead unstaffed.
